The study of Printmaking as a creative practice involves learning to combine many of the skills used by visual artists into cohesive and creative expressions. This hand-pulled art practice is a tradition that still remains active today, providing a unique way for contemporary artists to express ideas and messages to viewers. The students of Zayed University in Dubai continue this historic study in a variety of creative ways with results reflecting the social, personal, and environmental issues they hope to share with the world. For this exhibition, we are sharing a selection of works created in the past year reflecting the lives of these emerging Emirati artists.
