Total Arts at the Courtyard
Part of an ongoing series of exhibitions at Total Arts at the Courtyard entitled ‘Visual Dialogues’, Iran/Africa is curated by Fereydoun Ave, a collector, artist and curator. It reflects on the modern and contemporary art scenes in Iran and Africa, allowing the images to communicate and create a dialogue which in its dynamic is not verbal or intellectual but atmospheric and poetical. Artworks have been selected from Mr. Bakhtiar’s Dubai-based collection of Iranian and African art.
Total Arts is recognised as a pioneer on the Dubai arts scene, formed to allow for a creative platform at a time when the scene was beginning to first grow. Since then it has established itself as an educational platform, raising awareness of both local and international artistic talent. It continues to foster dialogue between established artists and collectors, as well as emerging artists and students from across the region, particularly Iran and the UAE.
