Things Are Not Always as They Seem: Contemporary Pop Art from Cities by E$COBAR & Van Donna at the Al Manzil Downtown Dubai

Cities Design, Art and Lifestyle Boutique

Cities presents the UAE debut of emerging pop artists E$COBAR and Van Donna.

E$COBAR’s creations offer a mix of political and pop imagery while taking a thought-provoking stance toward money-oriented Western culture. Many of his artworks provide ironic takes on current topics or striking visual juxtapositions of contrasting, yet interlaced, elements. Mixing pointillism and pop art in a unique colourful blend, Van Donna is known for experimenting with different techniques, her inspiring and welcoming, offering an immediate emotional connection for the viewer.

About:

With a vision to introduce exceptionally crafted contemporary design and art to the Gulf, Cities first opened in 2008 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A second showroom soon opened in Dubai. Today, Cities exists as a concept space, which takes clients on a journey through the design landscape of the world. Each piece in the Cities’ collection is handpicked from a variety of International and Middle Eastern artisans.
