Using the world’s number one international airport as a canvas, artDXB is an ongoing initiative from Dubai Airports, which brings inspiring artworks to Dubai International’s 90 million annual passengers.
The current collection includes an entire corridor in Terminal 3 adorned with specially commissioned artworks from the Domino Agency and Mawaheb, a Dubai-based art studio for people of determination. Elsewhere the airport features two striking sculptures by Emirati artist Jamal Habroush Al Suwaidi – My Dallah in Terminal 3 and Love-Red in Terminal 1 – as well as the Eternal Boat by Halim Al Karim in Terminal 3. The latest addition is an exhibition by Emirati artists at Terminal 3’s Al Majlis VIP facility, in association with Dubai Culture.
Passengers and art lovers can keep track of upcoming artDXB installations by following Dubai Airports on social media or reading the monthly art features in the brand-new airport magazine, Time Out DXB.
